Tanner Hickman serves as a Project Superintendent at SD Construction, where he leads on-site teams to ensure projects are completed according to scope and requirements.With a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of leadership, Tanner is committed to delivering high-quality results on every project he oversees.

Tanner's interest in the construction industry began in college, where he took a carpentry program and discovered a passion for learning the various aspects of the trade. He enjoys the challenge of problem-solving and the flexibility of finding multiple ways to approach and complete tasks. This hands-on, dynamic environment has kept him engaged and motivated throughout his career.

Before joining SD Construction, Tanner worked at Bauer Construction and later spent time in the North Dakota oil fields with H&L Well Services. These diverse experiences have broadened his skill set and prepared him for his current role at SD Construction.

Outside of work,Tanner is passionate about the outdoors, enjoying activities such as hunting, fishing, and spending time on his ranch in Washington. He enjoys working around the property with the help of his tractor and his daughter. Family, the outdoors, and his faith are central to his life and personal values.

Tanner particularly appreciates the strong, family-oriented culture at SD Construction, where employees’ well-being is prioritized, and growth is encouraged from within. This focus on personal and professional development motivates him to continuously improve in all areas. Tanner enjoys being a problem solver for the company and finds fulfillment in the opportunities to contribute to SD’s success.

A former athlete, Tanner played hockey, football, rugby, and paintball, and he traveled across the U.S. competing in NFAA outdoor archery tournaments from age 4 to 16. These experiences helped shape his team-building skills and taught him the value of collaboration, which continues to influence his work today.
