Glen Parks
Senior Estimator

Glen Parks discovered his passion for wood working and carpentry in high school, working part-time in a fabrication shop that served Alaska’s growing oil industry and the emerging RV business. His natural talent for building and problem-solving flourished under the guidance of skilled craftsmen. During this time, Glen gained hands-on experience in cabinetry, low-voltage and 120-volt electrical systems, gas appliances, and refrigeration repair. He also specialized in crash damage repairs and cost estimating. Balancing work and academics, Glen pursued an engineering degree at the University of Alaska while continuing his career in the RV industry for 10 years.

In 1979, Glen established his own construction and remodeling business, successfully managing projects for over 30 years. His career also took him to Adak Island, where he served as a carpenter foreman for three seasons. In 2007, Glen transitioned to working with Alaska Native corporations as a senior construction estimator, focusing on bids for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, FAA, andU.S. Army. He has estimated and managed projects ranging from $500,000 to $27 million, including the F-22 Raptor Combat Alert Cell.

Glen thrives on the challenge of turning project concepts into actionable plans, collaborating closely with architects and engineers to overcome obstacles. At SD Construction, he values the opportunity to contribute his decades of experience to a company that shares his dedication to excellence.

When he’s not working, Glen’s lifelong passion for motorcycles takes him on journeys across Alaska, into Canada, and throughout 26 of the lower 48 states. From the rugged roads of Skagway to the sun-soaked highways of Key West, he’s explored it all —often on his beloved touring Harley Davidson.
